Who I am
For more than ten years I've been building relationships with communities
In Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Bolivia. Because of them, my routes include places and people that no search engine shows.
I design your route, make the bookings and stay with you along the way. When the trip calls for it, I go with you in a small group. You arrive. I already know the people who are waiting for you.

S'ui K'ien in Huautla
S'ui K'ien is the Mazatec Día de Muertos in Huautla, in Oaxaca's Sierra Mazateca. Huehuentones dance from house to house, and the whole community keeps a candlelit vigil in the cemetery.
I've known Huautla since I was 15. This year I'm bringing up to six people, welcomed by the Mazatec community and René Alvarado Martínez's family.

Mariri Yawanawá, Acre, Brasil
The Mariri is the cultural and spiritual celebration of the Yawanawá people. They organize it and welcome us in their village, Yawatxivan, in the Rio Gregório Indigenous Land, through the Yawanawá Sociocultural Association (ASCY). Participation depends on confirmed registration and on the community's capacity to host.

Guests of the people who keep the tradition
Every journey is hosted by the community. In Huautla, the Mazatec community and René Alvarado Martínez's family welcome the group.
Our limits
Journeys do not include ceremonies with sacred plants or mushrooms. In the vigils, visitors accompany and witness. They do not take an active part. We keep these limits as cultural protocol, out of respect for the communities.

How much does a journey cost?

How many people join a journey?
Journeys are small groups. The Huautla journey takes up to six people.
Do the journeys include ceremonies with sacred plants or mushrooms?
No. We keep that limit as a cultural protocol, out of respect for the communities.
Which languages do you work in?
English, Spanish and Portuguese. I guide and translate between them.
What if a group journey isn't for me?
I design custom itineraries for independent travelers, with full booking and a personal concierge if you want them.
